Halloween is Coming!!!

Hey All!

Good Wednesday Morning. I hope you all are having a wonderful fall day. Here in Georgia, we are having our normal fall weather, up & down temps. In 7 days we have gone from 70 to 85 back down to 70. Loving it! Halloween is supposed to be COOL!!! Yipee!

AuburnFest was good. We saw some familiar faces and met new people. Thank you Auburn!

Next up is Christmas in the Country on November 8th. www.christmasinthecountry.us We hope to see you there!!

I am working on a new scrap quilt. This quilt fits my mood right now.
Sorta all kinds of happiness! I am quilting the top now and should have it binded by tomorrow evening.

Working on some ornaments for the Winder show.

Fun at Harbin Days Fall Festival

Hey Everyone!

Grammy's Wood n Cow has been having so much fun recently. We have worked three fall festivals with two more to go. We are so excited to be out meeting and making new friends.

This past Saturday, we were at Harbin Days in Dacula, GA. Thanks to Harbins PTA and Cheryl Watkins. Everyone was great. The kids had a ball visiting our booth. We look forward to seeing everyone again at Breakfast with Santa Claus.

Our next event will be AuburnFEST in Auburn GA on Saturday 10/25 starting at 10am. We look forward to seeing everyone there. http://www.cityofauburn-ga.org/index.aspx?NID=398

November 8th we will be at Christmas in the Country at Winder First United Methodist Church. www.christmasinthecountry.us

(We do accept credit cards at all of our events.)

Just a quick note, check out www.moomamaboutique.com and see what is new. (We were originally Moo Mama Boutique and have merged with Grammy's Creations to form Grammy's Wood n Cow.) Back in the Saddle Again!

Hello World!

It has been a while since I posted any blog. I am happy to say that Moo Mama is joining forces with Grammy's Creations. We are making handmade quilts, crocheted hats, scarves, baby blankets, eco-friendly wash clothes, and so much more.

We are working a local community yard sale every 2nd and 4th Saturday through the end of September, I believe. We will be participating in the Auburn Fall Festival in Auburn, GA on Saturday October 25th.  We are so excited!

We will keep you posted on upcoming events and also when we open our webpage and Etsy store.

We appreciate all of your support and well wishes.

Keep the faith!

Hello World!

The Star Surround is DONE! Woo hoo! The back is just as fun as the front. I am loving it and Hubby loves it too! Thank you again to Melissa Corry at happyquiltingmelissa.blogspot.com. I had so much fun. My Mom wants one now!

I am onto other quilts now - thanks Chantae at Wood N Grommet! Just what I need, another hobby :)

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Keep smiling!

Star Surround Layers

Hello World! Today is Friday 9/13/13 - good thing I am NOT superstitious :)

I wanted to attach some new pictures of the Star Surround layering. I just want to say it is a very good thing we have a large living room. It also helps it isn't used too much.

Hubby had to help with laying and smoothing everything out. We were watching Duck Dynasty too! Love that show!

Now I am quilting the layers together on my sewing machine. It is not easy getting a 109" square through my machine. Lots of tugging, pulling, spinning, and of course grunting. But to be honest, I make more noises when Hubby is around - maybe he will get the hint for a bigger throated/neck machined?!

I am trying to get this finished for Melissa Corry's picture parade of Star Surround Quilts. Check it out at happyquiltingmelissa.blogspot.com

I have had so much fun with the quilt along - thank you Melissa!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday the 13th! Enjoy! And remember to smile. Make them wonder what you are up to!!!

Star Surround Finished Top

Hello World!

I know it has been a while. Hubby and I moved my sewing room downstairs so I am more spread out, sorta. Loving it! Max is still unsure, but he will get used to it. I think he doesn't like going up and down the stairs.

I have finished the Star Surround Quilt a Long top. It is huge! As I said before, I knew but didn't know how big this was going to be. I LOVE IT!! I love the colors - thank you hubby! It was fun to put together and quite easy. Now I am doing the backing. Sometimes I think the backing can be more difficult than the front. I don't want the back to be "boring"! Boring just isn't me :)

See, the back CAN'T be boring. No way! I will post pictures as I get my thoughts in line.

I have finished another quilt - 1 of my work in progress quilts. How is this for boring?!

This isn't me at all. I haven't take a pic of the FULL quilt. Better use your sunglasses. The back is a slight reflection of the front. I had fun with this one!

I hope you have enjoyed my new pictures. See ya soon!

Remember, smile! You are making someone's day.

Star Surround New Pics

Good Rainy Morning World.

If you don't love the humidity, you shouldn't live in Georgia. I can say that my rather normal acting hair takes on a life of its own during this high humidity. Gotta love it :)

Here are some new pictures of the Star Surround Quilt A Long progress.

Don't you just love those two piles up top? The third pile still has to be pinned together. It will be fun chain sewing ALL those pieces. The 2nd picture of what the sides and corners of each of my blocks will look like. This square is HUGE. I have 9 to make. This means XL King size quilt?

No sewing tonight, but I will pick up again tomorrow night. Loving it as always!! Thank you Melissa Corry at Happy Quilting Melissa!

Until next time, keep smiling! It will always make them wonder what you are doing!
